about
The album No Return is the story of a collaboration between the three musicians and a producer, Ulrich Yul Edorh. The idea of recording this album was born when Yul attended a workshop of the trio. Listening to their compositions, he immediately wanted to immortalise the band. He knew how to extract strand by strand their emotions, like a real sound sculptor, giving as much weight to silence as to the note. A sound craftsman who listens to a crazy magic breathed by the here and the there. The artistic collaboration will allow the Birds to invite Arnold McCuller (vocalist, James Taylor, Beck, Bonnie Raitt, Phil Collins) who will sing for them for the first time in his career in French. This was followed by the exceptional participation of Blick Bassy (vocals), Fausto Beccalossi (accordion, Al di Meola), Stéphane Guery (guitar, Archi Shepp, Last Poets) and, finally, Hannah Tolf (vocal improviser).
